Munnar is a place located at 5000 – 8000 ft above sea level and is very close to the heart of various biodiversities with excellent ecosystems. Munnar is a town located in the Idukki district of the state Kerala. The name Munnar was coined from the meet of three(called munnu in Malayalam language) rivers(called aars in Malayalam language. We were four including me and my four friends . We scheduled our trip when it was a season in Munnar, the season months are October, November, December, January. It is the duration when you can feel the breeze and chillness of the city and the nature. We people took Volvo bus in Raja travels from Chennai We reached munnar in the morning. we Had booked a cab from velan travels in munnar.
The way to the Munnar wilderness was very exotic and fresh as we could breathe the fresh mist, We reached there at morning 9 am around and went straight into the Hotel “The Silver Tips” where we booked our rooms for a 3 day and 2night stay.we went to room, the room was spacious and the interior works done by hotel was outstanding. The room service was in great quality. We had a great sleep in the bus because bus sleeper coach and we people slept very well and we got freshed and we were ready to enjoy the beauty and nature of munnar. The staffs and service boys were very quite and the communication was never a problem because of the reason they all speak tamil,English,Malayalam communication is not a problem for us.the resort was quite different and gardening works were fantastic.we had a tiny spice of registration process.after the registration process we had great break fast in that hotel, the dishes were quite different ,we ate “puttu”(food which is did by rice) with side dish of special kearalan banana.
DAY 1 of our visit,we planned to MATTUPETTY DAM,ECO POINT AND TOP STATION Morning the time of 10:00 AM started from out hotel. mattupetty dam is located 13 km from our town and in the height of 1700 metre of height such great place is that.everey where in city plenty of lush green tea plants and greeny surfaces, munnar is great place for trekking.there are more number of tiny forest surrounds the mattupetty dam.in that forest if u have a luck you can see deers and elephants and others particular animals which could be real thrilling for us because saw the deers and elephants at the time of trekking.the major wonderful program in mattupetty dam and boating in lakes were great experience.boats are offered by tourism department,we can hire boat from them.
In the time of boating they gave all protecting options it is more important for tourist, they were very care of our safety too.we clicked many unforgettable moments through our camera, these are might be a good memory for us.after completing our boating just move to kundala lake which such a romantic place was that,it will forgot all ur thoughts ,it might focus on you that only, the silence of that lake gave many thoughts for us after spending few time and took many photos from there.we are very hungry,we ate lunch, our lunch was kerala rice with fish curry and fish fry, it was different taste while comparing our regular food,it must be a full fill lunch for us,the time was around 2:00 PM.
